Global File Settings
Open supported files in a new tab for preview (No direct download)
This setting lets administrators control how files are accessed across the platform. Instead of automatically downloading files to a user’s device, supported file types can open in a new browser tab for preview. This improves security and makes it easier for users to quickly view content without saving it locally.
How it works
Enabled: Supported files open in a new browser tab for preview.
Supported types:.pdf,.jpg,.png,.gif,.webp,.csv,.txtDisabled: Supported files download directly to the device.
Other file types (e.g.,
.doc,.zip,.xlsx) always download automatically.
Benefits
Better Security: Prevents sensitive or confidential files from being stored locally.
User Convenience: Users can preview files quickly without needing to download them.
